In a world of high definition, "visions of sugar plums" are so nineteenth century. For a large segment of the modern world, classic holiday traditions live only in the hearts of a fading generation. Some of us can't even remember a time when miracles traveled well beyond Macy's on 34th Street, and "Tradition" actually meant something. As I sit here on my Pacific Northwest ranch watching the weather gauge move all the way to "dampest," I am putting together a collection of classic Christmas movies for you and your family this holiday season. Some are visions I enjoyed first when I was still sitting on Santa's lap, and I can enjoy again and again when my grandchildren see them for the first time. Some are films that may take you back to your own childhood.

Imagine experiencing the full intensity of the Welsh landscape in the The Winter Stallion, just one of the many classic Christmas movies in my collection. Add to this a collection of cartoons and musical extravaganzas and you and your family can capture a piece of the past when everything somehow seemed so less hectic. Remember the classic Dickens Christmas Carol? My collection features a version narrated by the incomparable Vincent Price. That is just the beginning.

Take a look at the extensive list of classic Christmas movies in the list below and see if you can't find something that will make this holiday season remind of you of a special time when visions of sugar plums danced through your head.

These classic, hard-to-find Christmas movies are the real deal. If you're even able to locate them at a discount store or Internet site, you're likely to pay more than twice what I'm charging. At just $4.99 per movie, you won't be disappointed. Plus, when you order the complete set, I am going to give you a special gift of three extremely special holiday classics for free AND I'm going to give you the chance to expand your collection even more with five additional classic films for just $4.99 -- perfect for Halloween and Thanksgiving festivities. Even if you return your classic Christmas movies bundle, you keep the three special holiday classics as our holiday gift to you. This deal won't last forever, so take advantage now.

Classic Christmas Movies

Here's how to make your Christmas Movie Collection that much better...

When many of these movies were released, you didn't even have remote controls. If you were lucky enough to have a TV, you had to get up and turn the dial to change channels. Wow, I'm really starting to sound old. But I remember when I got my first TV remote. Boy, technology has come a long way. With the new iconRemote, which is the best remote on the market for my money, you can control just about everything in your living room, from the DVD player and cable box to the lights. Recreate that old time theater magic by dimming the lights and playing your favorite classic Christmas movie with one touch of a button!

I remember crowding around the radio as a kid, listening to our favorite radio show in the evening. When we finally got a TV, we would all crowd into the living room fighting for a view of the little black-and-white television set. If only we had a Video Sender back then. It allows you to wirelessly send anything from your TV, be it one of my classic Christmas movies or your favorite show on cable, to a second TV anywhere in the house. That means if I want to snuggle up under the covers in my bedroom to watch a movie, I can. I simply beam it up from the living room wirelessly!

And who would have ever thought that a tiny device could help me keep my living room looking nice and tidy? In the old days, we didn't have a DVR, DVD player and all the components we do now. It was just the TV. With the PowerMid Remote Control Extender, I can keep that feeling of simplicity. I simply hide all the components in the entertainment center cabinet, hook up the Extender and close the doors. Now I can use any of my remotes through the cabinet doors, no problem!

The Nutcracker

Ballet of the Slovak National Theatre. Nora Gallovicova, Jozef Dolinsky. An absolute delight this fairly simple and straightforward production features Artists of The Ballet of The Slovak National Theatre and Children of The Dance Conservatory, Bratislava with music by the Sofia National Opera Orchestra. The role of Clara is danced by Nora Gallovicova, and The Nutcracker by Jozef Dolinsky (who choreographed this production and is also the company's Ballet Master). This is not the great "tour de force" production that you would expect from some of the better known international companies that have the facility to solve a problem by simply throwing more money at it, but rather a prime example of a company maintaining its integrity by utilizing the available recourses at its disposal, and combining it with the enthusiasm of the dancers and students to produce a very "human" ballet that is absolutely charming and still thoroughly enjoyable. Particularly engaging is a background scene where one of the youngsters is shown fitting other children with cardboard "ears" for the mouse dance. 1995 Color 71 minutes

Vincent Price, Diana Rigg. This horror film stars Vincent Price as vengeful, Shakespearean actor Edward Lionheart. Lionheart sets about murdering his critics, one by one, who had both ridiculed his acting throughout his career and also declined to award him their "Critic's Circle Award for Best Actor." Lionheart is eventually given up by an accomplice in this chilling classic, and, well, we can't give away the entire ending. 1973 Color 104 minutes

The Little Princess

Shirley Temple, Richard Greene, Arthur Treacher. This classic story, based on the novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett, has been made into films multiple times over the years. When her father supposedly dies overseas, she is left with no parents and no money to fend for herself. Luckily for you, you don't need a lot of money to improve your home theater with the X10 iconRemote. The Night America Trembled

Edward R. Murrow, Alexander Scourby, Freda Holloway, Robert Blackburn, James Coburn. This virtually unknown production is a dramatization of the events of October 30th 1938, when Orson Welles scared a nation witless with his adaptation of The War Of The Worlds. Since he pioneered on-the-spot news during WWII, Murrow makes the perfect host and is absolutely fantastic in this classic bit of reel dating back to 1957. Lovers of 1950s television and history buffs will absolutely love this production. 1957 B&W 50 minutes
