This virtually unknown production is a dramatization of the events of October 30th 1938, when Orson Welles scared a nation witless with his adaptation of The War Of The Worlds. Since he pioneered on-the-spot news during WWII, Murrow makes the perfect host and is absolutely fantastic in this classic bit of reel dating back to 1957. Lovers of 1950s television and history buffs will absolutely adore this production. 1957 B&W 50 minutes
